Our History
It all began with a vision. Sherman Ramsey, founder of DHP in 1945, and his son, Jack, were dynamic individuals, with a vision to develop a successful wholesale distribution network that could meet the needs of the industrial and retail customers. They believed that by responding to customers' needs, their company would be successful. Strength and leadership set a course that allowed Diamond Hill Plywood Company to become a leading distributor of building materials throughout the southern United States.

Today, the third generation of the Ramsey family, John Ramsey and Jim Ramsey, having surrounded themselves with a core of talented professionals, leads the company with the same mutual respect as their grandfather and father, carrying on traditions and maintaining and continuously improving a strong self-sufficient company that customers throughout the southeast have come to trust.
What We Do
Diamond Hill Plywood is a major wholesale distributor of building material and construction products to the retail and industrial market segments. We have a network of 5 sales and distribution centers in Virginia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, serving customers throughout the Southeast.
